“I hope you know.. I hope you know.. that this is nothing to do with you..” I still remember those lines sang by my crush wayback during my HS days. Btw, he’s a gay that’s why he loves to sing that Fergie song. Haha. Well, that’s another story to tell for another time. Since then, after I heard that lines from him, that’s became one of my fave song, and as I repeatedly listen to it, I always loved to hear those last lines saying, “It’s time to be a big girl now, and big girls don’t cry”. Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to live alone. I will make a suitable companion to help him.”
God is really wise that when He created man, he knew that it is not good for him to live alone. That’s why he created the woman who is suitable to help him. The same thing as a Christian, it’s not good for us to be alone. That’s why here comes our mentor, leader, discipler and fellow Christian as well who are suitable to help us to grow in our spiritual life.
We are created as a man and woman to help each other; and as a Christian, we are created to help our fellow Christian and also to be help by them. We are created according to God’s will. Let’s not forget to do it. Help one another and love them as well.
“Give me the desire to obey your laws rather than to get rich.”-Psalm 119:36
Today I woke up, got my pen, bible, journal and had spent time with the Lord – my devotion. As I meditate His word in Psalm 119, I’ve observed that whether God gave us the desire to be rich or not, we will still have the desire to be or at least I’ll still have that desire to be rich. Reality check. That’s our nature. I don’t know someone who doesn’t dream to be rich, I believe, everyone desires to have a progress in life especially in their financial status, for some reason, that’s another story to tell. Whether you like to be rich or not, I still assume you like it. But how about obeying the law of the Lord? The Lord don’t wants us to obey just because He force us to obey. God isn’t like that. He loves us that’s why He gave us the free will to choose and to do what we want. But you know what, God really wants us to be willing and to have that desire to obey Him. It’ll surely makes Him happy. Continue reading
“There’s a lot of things to complain, a lot of things to struggle, a lot of burden to carry, a lot of situations to handle and even a lot of people and relationships that need some attention.”
Before my October had started, I already told myself that I’m going to make this month awesome since it is my birth month and indeed a very special month for me. I told myself that I won’t allow anything to mess up those coming days and somehow i’m still thinking how I can really make my October awesome?
My birthday came and indeed it was one of the best birthday I ever had yet. My friends surprised me with a basket of chocolates (which I really love!) and a compilation of greetings/messages from random (I mean friends) people and what made that day special is when I celebrated it together with my family. That’s more than enough. Well, I thought that’s the beginning of my awesome days but it seems everything turns 360. Final exams are out, feasibility studies defense are coming, a lot of requirements are still to be done, sleepless nights are already part of the cycle. My mind still shouting to finish it well but it seems that my body wants to gave up already. A lot of things were being compromised, patience becoming shorter, time for my family, time for my self and even my personal time with God are being set aside. And yes i’m still on half way but I already messed up. In a twinkle of an eye, the heaven pop-up in my mind, the place where there’s no more weeping, no more suffering, no more hurt and pain, no more burden to carry. How I wish to go there right now. I can’t stop but to let my tears to fall down, I can’t take this anymore. I really need God. I need to talk to God. Continue reading
“14 In everything he did he had great success, because the Lord was with him. 28 When Saul realized that the Lord was with David and that his daughter Michal loved David, 29 Saul became still more afraid of him, and he remained his enemy the rest of his days.” -1 Samuel 18:14, 28-29
If God is for us who can be against us? Because truly success comes after God. If we we’re like David, then, there’s no problem for us. All we need to do is to celebrate and rejoice in every battle we’ll win ’cause we know that God is with us and He will surely give the victory for us. But in the position of King Saul, He’s the king yet David reign more than him. How are we going to responds? Saul got afraid, angry and jealous to David, are we gonna do the same? Continue reading
But the LORD said to him, “Pay no attention to how tall and handsome he is. I have rejected him, because I do not judge as people judge. They look at the outward appearance, but I look at the heart.” – 1 Samuel 16:7
Two things I’ve been reminded: First, look at the person’s heart rather than his/her outward appearance (it’s easy to tell but sometimes it’s really hard to do it that’s why God keeps reminding me about this.) The second one, focus on my heart more than my outside look. For God says so, he’s not after about our outside appearance but in our hearts instead. There’s nothing wrong in making ourselves looking good and charming, let’s just make up our inner beauty first. For inner beauty standouts and outward appearance will just follow.
Don’t find for true love, wait for it. Wait for the right time, for the right person and while waiting prepare to be the right one. Wait for God’s perfect time. Stay in love with God. ♥
